Who am I?
I am what I am; a simple minded simple person provided you have to be a genius to understand the simplicity! I always try to enjoy life as it comes to me. I have proclivity to learn new things that come across me in my day to day life. Failures never matters to me much compared to what I learn from them. I always try new ways of thinking the same thing not only in the interest of finding a simpler way but also to learn more about the thing. I am one of the persons who prefers die to live rather live to die. I think there is a very thin line between Science and Philosophy as both can be denoted as either sides of a coin, one help in finding out the truth another gives up new ways of finding out the same, both the things have great significance in my life. I believe myself to be honest also friendly in dealing with others. Beauty in various forms not only appeals me but also inspires me to a great extent. One can see some of those inspirations in my paintings; this would be one of the reasons that dragged me into the world of research.

I love every genre of music like classical, semi-classical, rock, jazz, instrumental and just everything provided the music should good.
My alltime fevourite instrumental is Havana by Kenny G. Listen to it!
Books
As like common Bengali I deffinitely love to read Tagore, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, Satyajit Roy, Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Manik Bandopadhyay and so on. The modern writers I love to read are Samaresh Basu, Samaresh Majumder, Shankar etc.
To become a researcher I get motivated by several Sci-Fictions during my childhood. One of my favourite writer is Narayan Sanyal. One of the best and most popular Sci-Fictions by him is Nakshatraloker Debatatma [নক্ষত্রলোকের দেবতাত্মা], is based on the transformation of human race from primitive creature to civilized intelligent species controlling the whole earth. Then it deals with Jupiter exploration and a super intelligent Computer HAL. The three parted book is a inspiration of 2001: A Space Odyssey by Arthur C. Clarke. In his book, Sanyal named HAL as Jantra-Na (যন্ত্র না ) , in my mother tongue Bengali, it ambiguously means 'not a machine' (যন্ত্র না ) as well as 'pain' (যন্ত্রনা ).

Travel
I love travelling, living across cultures. Being fortunate enough to travel the world so far horizontally: East to West. During my doctoral study I travelled so many Asian countries like Singapore, Japan, China, Japan, Thailand and Korea. After finishing my PhD I moved to Europe. I travelled so many countries in Europe and Scandinavia. I really love this continent for its nature and people then went back to Bangalore, my own country for a very short time and now living in USA. It's truly an interesting journey so far.....I do believe that.....life is all about journey....and realization.....!!!
You can also have your visited countries map on your site.
